Recipe for Mississippi Pot Roast
- chuck roast
- dry Ranch dressing mix
- dry au jus gravy mix
- Challenge butter, cut into slices
- pepperoncini peppers
How to make Mississippi Pot Roast
Time needed: 8 hours and 10 minutes
How to Make Mississippi Pot Roast
- Place.
Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle.
Sprinkle the dry Ranch dressing and au jus packets evenly over the top of the roast.
- Place.
Place the butter and pepperoncini peppers evenly over the top.
- Cover and cook.
Cover with a lid and cook on LOW heat for 8-10 hours (HIGH heat 4-5 hours) or until the meat shreds easily with two forks.
- Discard.
Just before serving, discard any large fatty pieces, if desired.
- Serve.
Serve the shredded meat with juices from the slow cooker, if desired.

i cant eat anything spicy,can i use something other the the peppers?

I’m not sure of a good substitute. Although I have never tried them, you could try cherry peppers or poblano – or you can omit the peppers completely if you prefer. It will alter the taste slightly, but it will still be delicious!
