Oreo Fluff
If you’re a fan of cookies and cream then you are going to love this recipe! Cookies and cream don’t get any easier or better than this Oreo Fluff Salad recipe.
For this Oreo Fluff Salad recipe, instant vanilla pudding mix combines with milk, Oreo cookies, mini marshmallows, and whipped topping for a decadent treat everyone will love.
Dessert or side dish?
Fluff salads are one of those weird dishes that I’m never really sure if they’re all dessert or if it’s acceptable to eat them as a side dish?! I mean, it’s a salad which implies a side dish … but it feels like it should be a dessert.
Growing up, we enjoyed Cherry Chiffon Salad and Pistachio Salad as desserts and side dishes. My Circus Peanut Jello Salad is another dish I’ve enjoyed as a dessert and side dish.
I’m not going to tell you when or how to enjoy this recipe. If you feel like serving it as a side dish on a hot summer day (or heck, the middle of winter – no judgment here) – it’s fair game to me. Alternatively, if you want to enjoy this same recipe as an easy no-bake dessert – I’m all for that too. Don’t you just love recipes that perform double-duty?! ๐
How to make Oreo Fluff Salad
Ingredients
- vanilla instant pudding mix – or your favorite flavor. You can even use sugar-free!
- milk – I’ve not had success with the pudding setting correctly when I have used almond milk. I can’t speak for other non-dairy milks. For best results, I suggest using whole milk, 2%, 1%, or fat-free.
- Oreo cookies – or any kind of sandwich cookie with creme filling.
- mini marshmallows – regular or fruit-flavored. We prefer the regular ones.
- frozen whipped topping – Cool Whip is a popular brand found in the freezer section. Any brand will do.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat together the pudding mix and milk with whisk for 2 minutes or until well combined.
- Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies, marshmallows, and whipped topping.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with additional Oreo cookies just before serving, if desired.
Oreo Fluff Salad FAQs
Unfortunately, regular Oreo cookies are not gluten-free. However, Oreo now makes a gluten-free regular and double-stuffed cookie! If this is a concern, be sure to look for the gluten-free version at your local store. All other ingredients used in this recipe are naturally gluten-free.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
Personally, I would not. The texture is never the same after freezing and thawing. Thankfully, this recipe is quick and easy to whip up whenever the craving strikes! ๐
While we usually eat this as a dessert with a spoon, you might want to try this as a dip! Any kind of cut-up fruits would be awesome dipped in this fluff recipe. You can also you an assortment of graham crackers, pretzels, cookies, animal crackers, sugar wafer cookies, or creme-filled tubular-shaped wafer cookies.
Recipe Tips
- This recipe easily doubles or triples if you’re feeding a crowd.
- Swap out the vanilla pudding for another flavor! Try cheesecake, white chocolate, strawberry creme, any kind of chocolate, or another flavor you love!
- Use a food processor to crush the cookies easily. You don’t want to obliterate the cookies to crumbs – so just a couple of pulses should do it. If you don’t have a food processor (or don’t want to drag it out), a large freezer zip-top bag and a rolling pin also work great. Freezer bags are a little thicker and stand up better to crush the cookies, and as a bonus, there’s no cleanup! ๐

You can use cookies ๐ช and cream pudding ๐ฎ that comes in a box…it’s much better, you can find it at any Walmart store in the pudding..sugar aisle. Your welcome. Or you can just use the vanilla pudding cups and put oreo cookies in it…you would have to use more than the 4 cups..you could maybe also use an oreo cookie yogurt…or just use plain vanilla yogurt and put oreo cookies into it.
