I don’t know about you, but I love warm drinks on a cold day. As much as we love hot chocolate in the Love Bakes Good Cakes house, sometimes we like to switch things up a bit.
Nutella makes an awesome hot chocolate. This recipe couldn’t be easier. You’ll only need two ingredients and a couple of minutes for this luscious drink.
If you want to make this recipe for a crowd, it’s super easy to double, triple, or adjust it for lots of people! You can even make it in a slow cooker for a crowd if you want to.

- milk
- Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
- marshmallows and/or peppermint stick, for serving (optional)
How to make Nutella Hot Chocolate
Time needed: 5 minutes
How to make Nutella Hot Chocolate
- Warm the milk in a saucepan.
Heat the milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it is hot. DO NOT BOIL.
- Stir in Nutella.
Remove from the heat and stir in Nutella until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a mug.
Pour the mixture into a mug and top with marshmallows or a peppermint stick, if desired.
- Serve.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Note
THis recipe can also be quickly made in the microwave! Put the milk in a microwave-safe mug and heat it until it is warmed through WITHOUT boiling it. Stir in the Nutella. Top with mini marshmallows and/or a peppermint stick, if desired.
