Need something a bit different at your Thanksgiving table? You’ve come to the right place! This cranberry relish recipe is going to knock your socks off and give your family a little variety this year. Even better – I added orange to it!
Cranberry Relish
Cranberry relish is perfect for the holidays and best of all, it is delicious and simple – it’s cranberry with orange relish.
You know that I love cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving and other holidays, but have you ever had cranberry relish? It seems to be a bit of a rare sight at the holiday table, so I bet you were intrigued when you saw this recipe title…
Let me tell you all about it. Cranberry relish has the same tangy-sweet flavor as the sauce…totally amazing…but it has a completely different texture and consistency. In a way, it’s like, well, relish – similar to what you put on your hot dog, but in a fruity cranberry variety. Take it from me…this cranberry relish is just awesome, especially with the orange added.
Other reasons why I love cranberry relish? Oh, let me count them…
It’s easy to make. This recipe, in particular, will make you shake your head…it’s almost barely a recipe! You need just a food processor, a bowl, and a few ingredients – mostly fruit.
One of the things I love most is that you don’t have to cook this recipe, technically, unlike regular cranberry sauce. You just throw it together and it’s done! Double the easiness, which is especially good if you’re feeling just a bit overwhelmed at the holidays! ?
Thanksgiving Side Dish
Whether you serve it alongside ham or turkey, or as a spread on a leftovers sandwich, or use it in yogurt or ice cream, it’s wonderful. Nothing like a little flexibility in a recipe!
It’s family-friendly! If your kids like cranberry, or even just fruit, they’ll like this cranberry relish with orange. There’s really nothing in it that would turn most kids off of it. In fact, it’s almost very candy-like. Yum! 🙂
