This is the time of the year when things seem to be crazier than normal … and let’s be honest, for the next couple of months, it’s going to stay that way! With all of the hustle and bustle of the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, added to an already intense daily schedule with getting kids where they need to be, juggling work with home time and the million and one things that need to be done – it doesn’t leave a lot of time for other things! I get it. Believe me … I get it.
One thing I hate stressing about is dinner. That’s where I find having a few items that make dinnertime easier, a real blessing! I’m not going to lie, I love shortcuts on those crazy nights!
I recently learned of VELVEETA Shells & Cheese in two new Bold flavors! If you’re a fan of bold and spicy flavors, you’re going to love these new products! While they’re great on their own, you know I love to mix things up! It’s easy to add a protein and fresh veggies to VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold to kick mealtime up a notch … or two!
Velveeta to the rescue
Liquid Gold just went Bold – VELVEETA Shells & Cheese is introducing two new flavors in Jalapeño and Chipotle. Everyone is looking for new, exciting flavors as well as comfort in the brands they trust, which is why VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold is the perfect option for people looking to spice up their favorite cheesy shells.
As a family who loves spicy foods, I was most excited to try the Jalapeño version of VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold! We added pre-cooked chicken along with chopped tomatoes and additional chopped jalapeños! A dollop of sour cream was a nice cool touch along with the spiciness of the mac & cheese! We served this with a small side salad and fresh fruit for a dinner solution that was easy and delicious!
I have plans to try the Chipotle version of VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold in another recipe! Stay tuned for it to appear on the blog, also!

Ingredients
- 2 boxes VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold – jalapeño flavor 11.6 oz each
- 2 cups cooked chopped chicken
- 1 tomato seeded and chopped
- 1 jalapeño seeded and chopped
- ¼ cup sour cream optional
Instructions
- Cook VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold according to package directions.
- Stir in cooked chopped chicken to prepared Shells & Cheese. Top with chopped tomatoes and jalapeño.
- Top individual portions with sour cream, if desired.
Notes
- The macaroni brings the heat here, but you can always use a box or two of regular flavor to tone things down.
