Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce
We moved to Phoenix three years ago. It feels like we’ve been here forever! We picked up our family of seven and made the journey almost all the way across the country from Eastern North Carolina to Arizona. To tell you the truth, we just weren’t happy out there in North Carolina and it didn’t feel like home to us. For a long time, we really had no idea what to do. We struggled with if we should stay where we were … or move somewhere else. We both knew that we didn’t like where we were, but really had no direction as to where to go from there. The stress of finding a job, finding a new house, moving the kids …. all played heavy on our minds.
It played on our minds so much that we actually ended up moving to a bigger house in the same area for fear of making any big moves. Have you ever done something knowing it wasn’t the right choice …. your heart was really telling you to do something else … but you still do that dumb thing anyways?! That was us buying the bigger house in the same area of North Carolina. We didn’t even live in the house for a year before we knew it was time to move on again …. but this time, much, much farther.
The move
When Brian and I talked about what we wanted, where we might like to go and what various places had to offer us – the clear choice was coming to Phoenix. I can honestly tell you that I love it here. I know living in the desert is not everyone’s cup of tea – and I never thought it would be mine – but I truly love the Pheonix area!
One of the advantages we had with the timing of our move was that the housing market was really down here in Phoenix when we were looking for a house to buy. We were able to find a house perfect for our family that was far below what we felt the house was actually worth. One of the biggest drawbacks to the housing market crash was there were tons and tons of new houses being built in the Phoenix area in new subdivisions at the time just before the crash and when the market did crash, builders just walked away from the jobs, obviously. What ended up happening in the valley was there are many half-built subdivisions …. and we live in one.
It has its perks …. it’s quiet. We don’t have neighbors behind us (yet). Our community is just that, a community. Neighbors know each other and often get together for BBQ’s, games of cards, and share other interests. Neighbors are willing to help one another and watch out for each other if someone goes on vacation. You know, all the things you hope to get when you find a new home.
It also came with some cons …. we pay higher hoa fees to make up the difference of having all the empty lots. Because of the market crash and because it’s been slow to start building again, our neighborhood isn’t rebounding as quickly as other areas with established homes. Our local elementary school is not filled to capacity …. nowhere near capacity actually … so they don’t always get the same funding other schools might get.
Tyson Project A+โข program
That’s where programs like the Tyson Project A+โข program is great! It is one of the simplest ways to support your school and help them get extra funds for things they need! Just clip and collect Tyson Project A+โข labels from participating packages of Tysonยฎ products! For every label that is submitted, Tysonยฎ will give the redeeming school cash. The school can then use that money for whatever it needs!
I’ve been saving all of my Tyson Project A+โข labels from over the summer. It makes me feel good knowing I’m helping our local schools by buying things we already buy and by using things my family loves anyways! It’s a win-win situation. It’s an easy dinner for my family and we’re supporting our local schools!
You can nominate your school through the Tyson Project A+โข – and it’s easy too! Nominate your school by sharing why your school needs a head start on collecting Tyson Project A+โข labels. Once you submit your reason, you will get the option to share it on your own social media channels to help drive community involvement. The school with the most nominations will receive a packet of labels worth $1000 to help their school get a head start on collecting Tyson Project A+โข labels!
I almost always have a few bags of Tysonยฎ Fun Nuggets, Tysonยฎ Chicken Nuggets or Tysonยฎ Crispy Chicken Strips on hand. My kiddos love them – and chances are if you have kids, they do too! I love that having them on hand makes dinner easy! I have the option to serve them with a sauce (like the one I’m sharing today) – or I can easy incorporate them into some of our favorite recipes.
Tysonยฎ Crispy Chicken Strips are all white-meat and made with 100% natural ingredients. Tysonยฎ Fun Nuggets contain 100% natural ingredients and are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. And of course, they’re fun to eat! Tysonยฎ Chicken Nuggets are all white-meat and made with 100% natural ingredients. Like the Tysonยฎ Fun Nuggets, they are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. All three choices have simple preparation and taste great!
After picking up your favorite Tysonยฎ chicken product at your local Walmart, you can set your mind at ease knowing you have dinner made easy! Mix up this Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce while the chicken is baking for a fuss-free meal the entire family will love! Now, if only dinner were this easy every night! ๐
